Plugged bathroom sink that cost me two straight hours of infuriating attemps, was solved in ten minutes by Dwayne!

He got here half an hour after I called, brought the big gun power snake, and had great advise about how to prevent blockages in the future. VERY happy with the whole experience!!

Have used them twice on outdoor connection and indoor shower issues. The service from the office is responsive and Oleg the technician is very talented and professional. On the shower there was an issue with the cartridge that came with the unit I bought from Home Depot, and Oleg changed it at no additional cost. Very impressed by the service and skill sets.

I recently hired Drain Rescue Burlington for a plumbing issue at my home, and I was very pleased with the entire experience. From the initial phone call to the completion of the job, Marek was responsive, professional, and courteous.
Marek arrived on time, clearly explained the problem, and provided a fair estimate before beginning the work. Marek handled the repair efficiently and made sure everything was working properly before leaving. I also appreciated how they cleaned up after the job—no mess left behind.
What stood out most was their honesty and transparency. There were no surprise charges, and they took the time to answer all my questions without rushing.
Overall, I would highly recommend Drain Rescue, Burlington Marek to anyone in need of reliable and trustworthy plumbing services. It’s great to find a company that values both quality work and great customer service.

It was 3:30 Saturday afternoon on a holiday weekend (Thanksgiving) when we called Drain Rescue because out Kitchen sink was blocked. Before 6:00 (less than 21/2 hours later) Marek was on the job. He was very personalable, professional and competent.
He explained everything he was trying to do to unplug our problem. Unfortunately, after trying several attempts he was unable to clear the problem because the block was major and a long way down the piping. But amazingly Drain Rescue will have a crew 1st thing tomorrow morning with the heavy equipment needed to finish the job. The total price was very fair. We feel very lucky to have found Drain Rescue and won't hesitate to recommend or use them again !

Common Issues

The Plumbing Problems We See Most in Burlington

These are the most common calls we receive from homes and businesses in Burlington. If your issue isn’t listed, contact us anyway; it’s likely we have dealt with something similar before.

Slow or Blocked Drains

Grease, hair, and soap scum are common culprits behind slow drains in kitchens or bathrooms, and if left untreated, they can cause a complete blockage. We employ professional techniques, such as hydro-jetting, to quickly restore proper flow while safeguarding your pipes.

Leaking Taps and Dripping Faucets

A tap that keeps dripping wastes water and wears down fixtures over time. Most leaks trace back to a worn washer or valve seat, and our plumbers repair or replace them fast to stop the drip and lower your water bill.

Leaky Drain Pipes and Water Damage

A musty smell, a damp cabinet, or a stain spreading across your ceiling can all point to a hidden drain leak. We use leak-detection tools to find the source before it turns into a costly repair.

Running Toilets

A toilet that won't stop running usually means a worn flapper or faulty valve, and it wastes water around the clock until it's fixed. We repair it with reliable parts, and for clogs, we skip harsh chemicals in favour of proper tools.

Poor Water Pressure

Corroded pipes, mineral buildup, or a failing valve can all sap your water pressure. Our plumbers diagnose the cause and restore proper flow throughout your home.

Sewer Backup

Several slow drains at once, or sewage surfacing through a floor drain, usually means a sewer backup that needs immediate attention. Our team responds quickly to limit the damage.

Our Services

Full-Service Plumbing for Burlington Homes and Businesses

Whether it’s an urgent emergency or a job you’ve been putting off, our licensed Burlington team handles it: fast, clean, and backed by a written warranty.

Emergency Plumbing Services

A burst pipe, a sewer backup, or a sudden basement flood can quickly turn into a costly problem. Our emergency crews are on call 24/7 and arrive fully equipped to stop the damage and start repairs right away.

Drain Repair and Drain Cleaning

Persistent clogs and cracked drain pipes call for a proper repair, not a temporary patch. We use camera inspections and trenchless techniques to fix drains with minimal disruption, and our hydro jetting system clears grease, sludge, and tree roots that a standard snake can't reach.

Sewer Repair

High-definition camera inspections show us exactly where a sewer line is damaged before we start digging. From there, we choose trenchless or traditional repair, whichever gets your line working again with the least disruption.

Toilet Installation

Whether you're replacing a builder-grade toilet or upgrading to a high-efficiency or smart model, our plumbers handle every detail, including stubborn clogs and worn-part replacements.

Hydro Jetting

When buildup is too stubborn for a standard snake, hydro jetting does the job. High-pressure water clears grease, sludge, and roots while staying safe for your pipes and the environment.

Drain Camera Inspection

We look before we recommend a fix. A drain camera inspection pinpoints the exact location and cause of a problem, saving you time, money, and unnecessary digging.

Backwater Valve Installation

Heavy rain shouldn't mean a flooded basement. We install properly sized, code-compliant backwater valves and can walk you through any applicable subsidy.

Sump Pump Installation and Repair

For many Burlington basements, a properly working sump pump is one of the most effective safeguards against flooding. We install, repair, and replace sump pumps to keep your basement dry.

Waterproofing

A wet basement puts your foundation and your home's value at risk. Our waterproofing team finds the source of the moisture and applies the right fix, whether that's resin injection, exterior coatings, or improved drainage. Estimates are always free.

Frequently Asked Questions

My property is close to the Lake Ontario shoreline. Does that put me at higher risk for flooding?

It can, particularly during high water years when the lake level rises well above normal, which has caused shoreline flooding and erosion along parts of Burlington’s waterfront in the past. If you’re near the shoreline, it’s worth having your grading, sump pump, and backwater valve assessed even if your basement hasn’t flooded before.

Homes closer to Burlington’s creek systems can see a higher risk of water infiltration during heavy storms, especially where older grading or drainage wasn’t designed for today’s rainfall patterns. A sump pump and, where applicable, a backwater valve are worth discussing with a plumber if you’re in one of these areas.

It waives the building permit fee itself for installing a backwater valve, installing a sump pump, or repairing a sanitary line alongside a backwater valve. It doesn’t cover the cost of the installation or the equipment. That said, it’s a real savings on top of any Halton Region subsidy you might also qualify for, and we handle the permit application either way.

Possibly. Conservation Halton’s Rainwater Conservation Fund offers grants of up to $7,500 for eligible property owners in these specific areas who take on projects that divert and infiltrate rainwater on their own property. It’s a different program from the basement flooding subsidies and has its own application process through Conservation Halton.

It depends on the scope. Clearing a drain or swapping a faucet doesn’t need one. Larger jobs, like backwater valve installation, sump pump installation, or sanitary line repair, do require a permit, and in Burlington’s case, the permit fee itself may be waived under the City’s grant program. We pull the necessary permit on your behalf either way.

Absolutely. Newer builds are less likely to have old clay or cast iron pipe, but they come with their own set of issues, from builder-grade fixtures that wear out faster to poly-B or early PEX plumbing installed in some homes built through the 1980s and 90s, which can develop leaks at fittings over time. Age isn’t the only factor in how a home’s plumbing holds up.

For the weeping tile disconnection and sump pump subsidy specifically, yes, we’re on Halton Region’s official list of authorized contractors, so work we complete qualifies. For other subsidies, like the backwater valve or sewer lateral programs, Halton doesn’t require a contractor from a specific list, just a permit and inspection, which we handle as part of the job.

A sump pump moves groundwater collected around your foundation to the surface, away from the house. A backwater valve stops sewage from pushing back up through your drains when the municipal sewer is overwhelmed. They protect against different problems, and Halton Region offers separate subsidies for each, so many homeowners apply for both.
